First day, going back to my fathers' home town for the 100th days since my grandmother has passed away. I was not around even when my parents and brother went back. So, this time, I managed to take off for it. It took us quite a while before we reach our destination... Ipoh, approximately 5 to 6 hours starting at 9 pm ++. We made many stops, for toilet break and meals. Most food stalls are always not that clean. Often, also check out what are the things they are selling, especially fruits. The fruits are all very sweets and cheap... LOL, might have guess, to us, it is cheap compare to Singapore, right? What did I do in the car? I slept, I watched scenery and movies I put on my hp and a comic book.
After we reach aunt house, we settle down and wait for aunt to came home cause she was out. But, we still could get in to her house and unpack everything. As usual, my dad called his brothers and sisters for a gathering meal... 1 uncle and 2 aunts. Together, 13 people eat together. According to them, its been a long time since they saw me, it was like 8 years. I didn't realized, is it really that long??
So, great things about Malaysia, food... first time back to eating something proper. Ate around a big table... still there are insects flying around, crawling here and there... etc. Well, doesn't bother us much, cause it is common. After the meal, we headed back to our aunt house, so did my uncle and the other aunt. Chit chat till night time, 4 families chatting till 10 pm +, and then that call it a day. Aunt insist that I sleep seperately with parents as there is an empty room there, mum finally gave in and told me to sleep there.
Day 1 Ended
Second day, start off with not a very good sleep, cause not use to it. Woke up around 7am. My parents and my aunt and her husband has already woke up. Soon after, we get ready to eat breakfast. Hmmm, my breakfast was Yun Tun Mian, not bad, a small portion. Others have curry for breakfast while mum had bread. Only problem is, my fathers order took about an hour to get his, although he ordered together with aunt and her husband. Guess the stall really has a good business and the staff was really busy. After that, we prepared to go shopping. Went to a lot of shopping center. Bought a lot of things we wanted. So many things to see, and I do hope to get some pictures for my friends and colleagues to see, cause seldom will you be able to see the place inside of Malaysia.. I did notice so many pretty girls, after all, today is Sunday. Woo hoo...my god, I didn't know they are all so beautiful. After all that shopping, it was around evening time, so we headed home and wait for dinner to move out. Dad craved for prawns and crabs..
Day 2 Ended
Third day, have to get up early cause need to go back to Beruas, which is 1 hour plus away from where aunt stay, Pulai. Need to get everything ready for my grandmothers' 100th day after she passed away. Woke up around 5.30am and prepare to set off at 6am. Been so long since I was here, took pictures. We ate there and then when to the place where she was put. They buried them when they were gone, so is a graveyard at a hill. Been in the old home for hours before we leave for lunch. After that, dad took 2 aunt, my mum and me to visit his old classmates. Whole afternoon, everyone was tired and sleeping... At night, as usual, gathering dinner and chit chat.
Day 3 Ended
Forth day, also wake up very early, they have taken a queue number for something. Need to get my grandparents up to the living to talk to them. That's what I am trying to say, cause I am not sure what is it called. The place is still the same, accept some shops already changed.
After questioning, we went home and prepare for our journey to Cameron Highland, where father is going to meet his old classmates. It was a long and curving journey, need to cross many mountain roads in order to reach there. It is just like Genting, quite cooling. Saw many farms along the way, strawberry, catus, bee, etc. Heard from him, his this classmate is now living wealthly. From what we saw and heard over there, yup, it seems so. every one in the house have a car. She has many apartments there for rental, farms for growing crops and restaurants too. After their chit chat, went to a restaurant to eat and continue till afternoon, then we headed home. While going back, it started raining and we couldn't go down to visit the farms. Half way down, the rain stop and we visited the rest of the farm that is left. Took pictures, look at all the vegetables and fruits they grew. In the end, so many vegetables behind the car.
